My Story

My life has been a journey of dynamic experiences and pivotal choices, filled with "aha" moments that propelled me beyond my circumstances and shaped who I am today.

For much of my life, my work defined my identity, often leaving me feeling off balance. However, I take pride in the challenges I've overcome across various aspects of my life. One of the most significant turning points came when I, along with 250 others, was laid off from my job. In that moment of uncertainty, I faced the daunting question of what my next step would be.

Surprisingly, that layoff turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It became a powerful opportunity for growth—an opening to enhance my skills, develop my leadership abilities, and increase my income. During this time, I discovered my passion for coaching. I engaged in various assessments that validated my strengths and solidified my belief that I was meant to impact lives through coaching.

This journey of self-discovery takes me to where I am today: helping others gain clarity out of confusion and guiding them from anger and uncertainty to a state of thriving calmness.

Fun Facts

  • Small-Town Roots: I grew up in a cozy little town in Upstate New York, where I was one of six kids! Imagine the chaos and fun that comes with that many siblings!

  • Early Riser Extraordinaire: At the tender age of 10, I became the proud owner of a paper route. Picture me, bright and early, delivering papers in the snow—not just tossing them at the end of the driveway, but sneakily tucking them into mailboxes and front doors. Talk about dedication!

  • People-Powered Joy: I’ve always been fueled by a passion for helping others. There’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of making someone’s day a little brighter!

  • Learning Junkie: I’m a lifelong learner and can often be found with my nose in a book, diving into blogs, or getting lost in an audiobook. For me, learning is a joy and a necessity, and I especially love soaking up insights from my clients—because who says learning can’t be a two-way street?

In my spare time, you can often find me hitting the trails, where I’ve tackled everything from marathons to ultra-marathons, and even conquered 23 Peachtree Road Races! I thrive on the exhilaration of those 10Ks and 5Ks. When I’m not running, I love to rally on the tennis court playing Alta Tennis.

Books are my constant companions, whether I’m flipping through the pages or tuning into audiobooks. Gardening is my happy place—it’s where I unwind among my collection of vibrant hydrangeas, lively perennials, and aromatic herbs.

Cooking is my creative outlet! I love the challenge of identifying ingredients and whipping up my own versions of favorite dishes, often with a little inspiration from Cooks Illustrated, Milk Street, or Serious Eats.

I’ve been happily married for over 20 years and have a wonderful grown daughter. Our family wouldn’t be complete without our golden retrievers; we’ve had four amazing pups! This is our latest girl, Brix, who brought endless joy and wagging tails to our home.

Serving the Community

I enjoy serving in my community through my involvement with St. Ann’s CareerQuest and also have led the Life Lessons Networking at Hotel Equities. This is a mind, body, and spirit-led group focused on the unemployed and the underemployed.
